Posting links to specific videos or websites, however, I would probably edit out. Now does that mean that I'm going to delete a post that advises people to google an answer or look on youtube? Probably not. And as volunteer moderators, we are tasked with making sure that posting isn't in violation of the Forum rules that Inno has put in place. Players look at this from a limited perspective, only caring about whether a site could potentially be helpful to their game playing, but Inno has to look at it from a broader perspective, both legally and financially speaking.
They undoubtedly have to go through some kind of process to show to Inno that they are safe for the players, and Inno must be satisfied that they don't compromise Inno's financial interests. This rule is undoubtedly designed to both protect Inno's investment in this game and protect the players from the dangers that we all know are out there. They claim (and look like) they come from a well known or trusted company/website, but the link takes you somewhere else completely. We've all seen this in spam emails we receive. I'm sure part of the reason is to keep people from profiting off this game, and part of it is the danger you always have when clicking on links to other sites that may or may not have malware or viruses, or the links themselves could be deceptive and not take you where they say they will.
